Rule #1 for staffing a trade show booth.  Don't talk to prospects about politics.  Don't talk to prospects about religion.  Talk about the weather, the show, sports (maybe), or better yet, your company.  Best, don't talk but listen.  And ask the prospect about their company, what it does, what their needs are, and how they could benefit from using your company's product or service.
